Do you or your loved ones need food aid?
If you’re from Warsaw or the surrounding area, you’ll find information on what to do below:
1.
Contact organisations collaborating with the SOS Food Bank in Warsaw.
They receive food from our Foundation and hand it out to those in need. These organisations differ when it comes to the nature of their work, therefore each of them focuses on a different group of people, e.g. single parents, elderly people, or people with disabilities.
Please note that each of these organisations makes its decision as to how and whom to help on an individual basis.
You can learn if you are eligible for help (and, if yes – for what kind) by reaching out to a given organisation directly. You will find the list HERE.
2.
Food assistance (in the form of meals, food packages, or food allowances) is also provided by the social assistance centres operating in each municipality.
You can also ask for information on NGOs and other places offering food assistance HERE.
3.
Many localities have community fridges, or places where everyone can share food, leaving wholesome foodstuffs for someone else to consume.
A list of Warsaw’s community fridges is found HERE.
4.
You may find other banks operating in the Masovian Voivodeship
as well as in other voivodeships of Poland on the Polish Food Bank Map. Contact the one closest to your domicile.
If you need more information, by all means contact us.
