What do the Orange Angels do?
They take care of people who have nothing to eat
We know that food is something that we cannot do without. Angels give people food, and with it – a sense of security and hope for survival. They make it so that poor people do not have to choose between food, treatment and paying bills.
They bring good people together
Thanks to the Orange Angels, we connect thousands of people into a chain of good hearts. We conduct Food Collections in stores. Then thousands of volunteers wait by special baskets for products that Poles want to share with the poor for the holidays.
They send kilograms of food around the world
Thanks to the Orange Angels, our charges receive millions of kilograms of food every year. Each kilogram of food is a kilogram of dignity. Because it lasts a long time. Because when there is groats, flour, rice at home, you know, you can feed your family for a few days.
They say a loud “no” to food waste
Na naszej planecie marnuje się rocznie 1,3 mld ton żywności, a jednocześnie 800 mln ludzi nie stać na jedzenie. Dzięki Pomarańczowym Aniołom ratujemy ŻYWNOŚĆ od producentów, rolników, z marketów i lokalnych targowisk, która inaczej uległaby zmarnowaniu.

“I loved my job. I lived with dignity and I thought it would always be like that. One evening I was sitting at the computer and then it came – a stroke. And it took everything away from me. From that moment on, nothing is the same as before. I have a pension, 1155 zlotys. How can I live on that? It’s good that vegetables grow in the garden by the house. A neighbor will bring some potatoes. But the most important thing is the food parcel from the Food Bank, it lasts for many days. Thanks to it we manage to survive. I used to invite everyone to my place, it was a joy for me. Now I have to live in hope that my family will invite me to theirs.”

Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions.
It’s very simple! To become an Orange Angel, all you have to do is decide to help regularly every month.
You can do it in three ways.
- SET UP A RECURRING PAYMENT ON YOUR PAYMENT CARD
You can do it here, on this page, by clicking “Yes, I pay and donate 6kg of food per month”.
Then your donation will be automatically transferred each month via credit or debit card to the Foundation’s account. In order for the help to be sent out into the world, make sure you have funds available in your account.
- SET UP A STANDING ORDER WITH YOUR BANK
If you don’t want to provide your credit card number, you can simply go to your bank’s website and select the “standing order” option. What you will need is:
– decide how much you want to donate (39 PLN per month is 73 kg of food per year),
– determine what day the transfer will be made,
– provide our account number 30 1090 2590 0000 0001 4374 3757, SOS Food Bank in Warsaw, ul. St. Bodycha 97, Reguły, 05-820 Piastów 1
But what’s important, enter “I buy kilograms of dignity every month” in the title of the payment

- ESTABLISH A DIRECT DEBIT
Sometimes we call our donors to ask for regular help. Then, during the conversation with us, you will fill out the Orange Angel declaration, which is a payment order form.
My payment card is expiring. How can I extend my help to those in need?

I decided to start supporting the food bank regularly at the beginning of the pandemic, when many people were isolated and without support. I continue to do so because the end of restrictions does not mean the end of the pandemic or the end of problems that did not start in 2020. No one should be hungry, especially now, when so much food is being produced. I am very happy that you are both taking care not to waste it and educating about it.
